Task 4: Found Sound

Some of the tasks so far have hinted at asking you to create audio – this week, let’s try and complement some of the rich images and video that is appearing on the blog with a sound-based task.

Create a soundtrack/score to match an artwork you like by another student from another school. So if you’re a Whitefriars student, choose an image/video by a Mooroopna student and vice versa.

Then, create a track between 30 seconds to 2 minutes from 5-10 audio samples you can download from Freesound through Creative Commons Sampling Plus License.

To get you thinking, here is a really simple but beautiful hand-drawn animation clip by one of my favourite bands, The Whitest Boy Alive. I love it because the audio and video match so well together
